Subtitle Labs x Omer Tiroche Gallery: Fragments

8 - 29 September 2022 London
Overview

Omer Tiroche Gallery is pleased to present a collaboration with Subtitle Labs, a nomadic art platform that provides opportunities and mentorship to emerging artists and collectors. The exhibition Fragments will feature works from twelve different international artists, and range from textile art, installation, painting, sculpture and works on paper.

The twelve artists are based all over the world, and their nationalities span four continents. Their works, many of which were made specifically for this exhibition, explore the complex theme of individuality, addressing the artists’ diverse cultures, heritages, and environments. Brought together, they create a dialogue examining the fragments that make up our own individual identities.

Founded in January 2022, Subtitle Labs seeks to discover, encourage, and invest in early-career artists of all disciplines, enabling them to exhibit their latest work. At the heart of the project is a desire to foster collaboration and mentorship between the artists, creating a mutually beneficial network of support.

Every year each artist exhibited can nominate another artist to be a part of a subsequent show, thereby creating a chain-link of artist mentors and mentees. Subtitle Labs also aims to develop a community of collectors alongside the artists, fostering lasting relationships between the artist and collector.

A percentage of the works sold will be donated to Arts4Dementia, a charity that impacts the lives of people living with dementia and those who care for them through art workshops.
